Kids electric scooters can vary significantly in speed, from low-speed beginner models to scooters capable of around 25–35 km/h that may be more appropriate for older or more experienced riders. The right speed depends on the child's age, height, riding experience and ability to control the scooter.

For beginners, we recommend starting with the lowest available speed or riding mode. With modern scooters, parents may also be able to manage the maximum speed through a mobile app and gradually increase it as the child's skills and confidence develop.

Some models can also accommodate both older children and adults, making them more versatile for a family. For example, selected Segway Ninebot E3 and E3 Pro features and settings can be managed through the Segway-Ninebot app.

Maximum speed should never be the main reason for choosing a scooter for a child. Control, fit and riding experience come first.

Yes, on supported models. Many modern electric scooters offer different riding modes, while selected models also allow certain performance settings to be configured through a mobile app.

For example, compatible Segway Ninebot scooters can connect to the Segway-Ninebot app, giving parents access to supported scooter settings. This can be particularly useful when a child is learning: parents can begin with a more manageable setting and review it as the rider gains experience.

Features vary by model, so always check the specific scooter's available app controls and riding modes before purchasing.

Start in a flat, open area away from traffic, pedestrians and obstacles. Before increasing speed, teach your child how to accelerate smoothly, brake progressively, steer, turn and bring the scooter to a controlled stop.

For a beginner, start with the lowest available speed or riding mode and practise the basics repeatedly. Parents should supervise younger or inexperienced riders until they demonstrate consistent control and awareness of their surroundings.

Do not rush to increase the speed simply because the child feels confident after the first few rides. Good braking, turning and judgement are more important than riding fast.

We generally recommend avoiding riding in rain, standing water or on slippery surfaces. Water-resistance ratings vary between scooter models and do not mean that a scooter is completely waterproof. Wet surfaces can also reduce tyre grip and increase braking distance.

Riding after dark requires additional care because visibility is reduced. If riding in low-light conditions is appropriate and permitted, make sure the scooter's front and rear lights are working properly and that the rider is clearly visible. Reflective clothing or accessories can also improve visibility.

For younger or inexperienced riders, dry conditions and daylight are the better environment for learning and practising.

For most UAE locations, orders placed before 4 PM can be delivered on the next business day with standard delivery.

Yes. Standard UAE delivery is free for orders over AED 1,000, which includes most of our electric scooters.

For orders that do not qualify for free delivery, or if you choose an expedited delivery option, the applicable delivery charge will be shown according to the selected service.

Yes. All new products purchased from UAE Scooters come with a 12-month limited warranty, unless otherwise stated on the individual product page.

The warranty covers eligible defects in materials or workmanship under normal and intended use. If a fault is confirmed as covered under warranty, we will repair or replace the defective part or product where appropriate, at no repair cost to the customer.

Contact our support team and let us know what happened. We may ask for your order details together with photos or a short video so our technicians can diagnose the issue.

For an eligible warranty fault, we will repair or replace the defective component or product where appropriate. We also have a local service facility in Dubai, so customers have access to after-sales support rather than relying only on remote online assistance.

For warranty claims, please keep your invoice or order confirmation and contact us before arranging any third-party repair, as unauthorised repairs or modifications that cause or contribute to a fault may affect warranty coverage.

We offer a 14-day return window from the date of delivery.

Unopened scooters may be returned within this period. An opened scooter can also be eligible for return if it has not been ridden, remains clean, and is returned in its original packaging with all accessories intact.

We therefore recommend keeping the original box and packaging until you are confident that the scooter is suitable for your child. A return request must be authorised by our team before the scooter is returned.

Yes. We offer international shipping from the UAE to several countries across the Middle East, including Saudi Arabia, Oman, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar and Egypt.

For a standard electric scooter shipment, our current reference shipping rates and estimated delivery times are:

  Saudi Arabia: from AED 350 per scooter box (up to 50 kg) to major cities including Riyadh, Dammam, Jeddah, Madinah, Makkah and Al Qassim. Estimated delivery is approximately 1–3 working days to most major cities. Remote locations may cost more and take longer.

  Oman: AED 250 up to 50 kg, with estimated delivery of approximately 2–10 business days.

  Kuwait: from AED 350 for packages above 5 kg, with delivery by land taking approximately 10–20 days.

  Bahrain & Qatar: AED 250 up to 50 kg, with estimated delivery of approximately 2–18 business days.
